Although the movie has nothing to do with karate I was still very impressed. The performances of Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan were great and the chemistry they had worked well. I remember walking into the movie not expecting much because of the original 1984 edition which is a classic, but this new update had a great story and meaning. If you were thinking about seeing this and were weary you don’t have to be because movie was good on many levels. This movie is one of those movies we can all take something from and grow from it.
A funny movie that impressed me more than I thought it might. The story was simple, but Kick-Ass had a good theme and meaning behind it. I enjoyed watching it, especially the little girl “Hit Girl” kick some serious ass. Nicolas Cage also did a great job of acting, it was so awkward it was funny. I would suggest watching this movie when it hits DVD because of its originality and different take on the super-hero genre.
Looking through TheFWA I came across this really interesting website. The website gives the illusion that all the images poping up are creating another image out of it. I like the simple full background layout with the nice clean text on the left. A very well done website that works and keeps the user interested.
Going to one of my favorite websites today I first thought I was at the wrong site because I am so use to the old layout! The new layout is similar, but has a CSS type of feel to it which is clean and nice. The flash aspect of the site is very simple and works because of the nice smooth animation. If you wanna see a great website that shows off the best flash websites check it out!
Another great example of a way to use flash to it’s full potential to create something unique and effective. I like the layout and the zoom feature is unique. The use of white space is nice and although the colour use is limited it is very effective and works.
A great website of a designer based out of New York. The site is clean and has a creative layout that is effective and aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. It is elegant, but simple and easy to navigate and gives you the feeling of being part of the design process.
Desktopography is a nice wallpaper website that features various wallpapers that mix amazing design with the outdoors. These wallpapers are some of the best that I have ever seen. I would check it out and start using some of them!
The Invention of Lying is a unique movie about a world where no one tells a lie, only the truth comes out of everyone’s mouth until one day a man tells the first lie in the history of mankind. After he discovers he can tell lies, a whole new world opens up to him of money and trouble. Torn between taking advantage of others and doing the right thing he is left with a dilemma. The movie overall was not amazing, but a good take on something new and a good watch if you want to watch something of the ordinary.
