Don’t get me wrong Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen was pretty amazing and impressive in itself just from all the crazy special effects and the action that it brought. I think that the movie was definitely not as bad as the critics say, but it also wasn’t as good as the first and it was much too hyped so it was easy to disappoint. The first Transformers had a lot of plot and a lot of story that was interesting and it was a new idea that was fresh and really cool. I would say that what people think of the new transformers really depends on who you ask, movie critics will tell you that it wasn’t very good, whereas a guy who loves action will tell you it was awesome. It is all really a matter of opinion and I say that it was what I expected. The movie gets major props from me for being some of the most amazing special effects I have ever seen.

I would say watch this movie in theaters if you haven’t because movies like this with all the heavy special effects and action are worth it.

Optimus you are still awesome.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince broke records for its midnight screening earning an impressive amount of $22.2 Million. The opening day (yesterday) brought in another impressive amount of $58.4 Million. Harry Potter is right up there with Transformers Revenge of the Fallen for single day grosses of the summer.

Old Boy is a Korean movie which was recommended to me by many of my friends at the movie stand that I get my international films from. I wasn’t really too sure what to think because all I was really told is that it is good and that it is about revenge. I thought okay well that sounds interesting at least so I picked it up and watched it, and oh boy was I in for a twisted ride that really went deeper into revenge than I could have ever thought. The movies is about a man who is locked up in a hotel for 15 years not knowing why or who is being so cruel to him. Once he gets out he doesn’t really know how to respond to the “outside” world and is still confused and distorted, but he does know one thing, he wants to get to the bottom of who locked him up and why and how to bring revenge upon them. That’s all I will say because I don’t want to ruin the movie for anyone. The movie has many action scenes and some disturbing scenes, but I give the movie two big thumbs up for being different and going where no one ever went.

If you want to watch a bizzare thriller that’s like no other try out Old Boy. I warn you, this movie isn’t for all tastes, but it is a great movie if you can handle it.

Crows Zero Episode-0 (The first movie) was a really well put together movie that is based on the comic book in Japan. The Crows Zero 2 movie was released in Japan on April 11th 2009 and is a must see when it comes out.

The first movie was based on the story of a high school named Suzuran that has it students fight to conquer it. The different alliances have different needs and values that make them interesting. There is a past history of rivalry and tension and even more is added when the new guy comes into town named Genji who is the son of one of the big gangsters. Genji looks to take over Suzuran and take over his fathers throne.

That’s the basis of the first movie, the second one adds a whole new twist! Not saying what happens in the first movie, the second movie is based on the whole entire Suzuran school to go against another school. Only seeing the trailer so far I greatly anticipate that the new movie will be a hit in my books.

If you’re into action and a “cool” look to a movie, Crows Zero is a great movie to see, with a fun story, awesome fights, and lots of character depth. The adaptation from the comic is really well put together and the perfect cast was picked. Of course if you want to see this movie the movie is in Japanese and you will have to read the subtitles, but there’s nothing like watching a movie from another culture get across to all audiences. Crows Zero 2 has some new cast, but for the most part it’s the same from the first movie and the new school.
