iPhone Apps, what to get?
I thought it would be useful even if you have an iPhone to see some of the best apps out there for the iPhone. I’ll start off with one of my favorite apps called Shazam. Lets say that you are out and you are in Star Bucks and you hear a song that you really like and you’re afraid you’re going to forget part of the lyrics to google later, well this is where Shazam is amazing, with Shazam you can open the app up and click “Tag Now” and it will listen to the song and 99% of the time if the music is loud enough it will tell you the artist and album all just from listening to the song and it will save the song for you for you to refer to later. The next must have app is called Flixster, which is the movie app they have made and what it will basically do is tell you the recent box office movies, DVD’s that recently came out, upcoming movies, and the most useful thing it shows is the theaters that are nearby and the show times for each one. This app has come in handy countless times when I was out and decided that I wanted to go see a movie. Now we’ve got an app for music and for movies, the next one is for anything locally near you and it’s called Locly and what it basically does is uses your GPS built in your iPhone and tells you all the nearby businesses, banks, pubs, movies, hotels, museums, and basically anything you can think of. The last app that I will mention today is Tip, and well the name gives it away it is a fancy tip calculator that allows you to calculate your tips very simply by putting in the amount of your meal, selecting the tip %, and how many ways you want it split. This comes in real handy if you have a group of people and need to split the bill, it will tell you how much each person owes.
