District 13: Ultimatum is the sequel to the original District 13 starring Leito (Famous Parkour legend David Belle) and Damien Tomasso (Cyril Raffaelli). The movie is about an outcast district, which is a racially driven ghetto populated by violent drug dealing gangs and war lords. Despite government promises to maintain order, the state of the district has gone into chaos, and a group of corrupt cops and elected officials are conspiring to cause civil unrest in District 13, looking for an excuse to raze the area and cash in on its redevelopment. Now Damian and Leito must join forces again, and use their mastery of martial arts and their unique physical skills to bring peace to the neighborhood by any means necessary. The adrenaline pumped movie packs lots of action and high flying scenes with lots of bone crunching fights. The movie is a nonstop action thrill ride that will entertain you throughout the whole movie.
A very good movie to watch if you are into action, but I would recommend watching the French version (Banlieue 13 Ultimatumm) because from what I saw the English version was not so good in the dubbing of it.

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs is a really well put together movie that all audiences can joy from young to old. The movie has a lot of depth and life lessons that can be understood by all. The movie is about an inventor named Flint Lockwood who struggles with his inventions never being a major success, until one day he makes an invention that is amazing and by accident it makes it rain food. In all of this happening Flint meets a news reporter who is a brainy weathergirl. The two of them try and figure out how this all is really happening and the adventure begins from there. The movie really hits all the bases in being funny, entertaining, and passionate. If you like animated movies this movie is a winner.
I suggest going to see this movie in theatres
Another great animated film for everyone.

District 9 was a great movie from the producer Peter Jackson. The movie starts off amazing and ends the same way, with enough action and impacting story to really go a long way. The lead role was played amazingly and was a substantial selling point of this movie. The movie is about aliens who land on Earth and end up getting stuck here because humans force them to. Throughout the movie you will really feel how cruel the human race can be as a whole. The story starts off with the lead actor getting infected by the aliens and as he starts to turn into one of the aliens things start to get interesting and he becomes a wanted man. The suspense really picks up as you see how he struggles to stay alive. I don’t want to ruin the movie so I will leave it off by saying that, but this movie is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time and the best I have seen yet this summer. The movie really hits all of its bases and so much more. I highly recommend seeing District 9 if you already haven’t.
A movie you should definitely see in theaters!
Overall a truly amazing film.

I finally recently got the chance to watch this after putting it off for so long. The movie brought back memories of the originals and how great they were. The movie was what I expected with lots of action and puzzles to solve. The shortfalls of this film were definitely the unrealistic scenes where it was far too fake to even look real at all. Overall it was fairly well-rounded movie, but if you compare it to the originals I think this one doesn’t quite hit its mark. If you have never watched the Indiana Jones series of movies, I would be shocked, but if you haven’t, then I really recommend watching the originals and then watching this one. Harrison Ford showed that he still has it in him although he is much older in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Overall a well-acted movie by Harrison Ford and Shia Labeouf (Indiana’s son in the movie).
I would recommend watching this now that it’s on DVD.
A fun film with lots of action.

G.I Joe
The new G.I Joe movie was a full 120 minutes of non-stop action filled with incredible special effects. Although critics say that the movie wasn’t too good, I think you have to take the movie for what it is, and that’s an action movie with enough explosions and special effects to keep any action movie fan happy. I was very surprised to see that the movie was two hours long when I had heard that it was pure action, but the movie was everything I expected and more. I know that the plot wasn’t the greatest and it may have fallen short on some of its not so great moments, but it sure was one of the more fun movies I have got to watch in a long time. A great summer blockbuster having the most action in a film I have seen thus far this summer.
I recommend this movie to anyone who loves a good action film.
Overall I was very satisfied with action scenes and special effects.

Watchmen was in theaters a while ago and it is now on DVD. I first watched it in theaters and I was very impressed by how visually pleasing it was to watch on the big screen. I watched it for a second time and came to the same conclusion that if you don’t know the originals story by Alan Moore’s graphic novel then it can be hard to follow. The movie had some really cool characters in it and some great special effects, and altogether some of the most impressive scenes in a movie that I have seen in a while.
The movie was a well-rounded film, but was a bit too hard to figure out what was going on in certain parts.
I would watch this movie for its action and fancy visual effects to go with it.

The new Terminator: Salvation movie was newest installment of the Terminator series and certainly nice to look at with incredible special effects and some really awesome looking terminators. The movie featured Christian Bale (The Dark Knight) acting as “John Conner” who is the leader of The Resistance and has to stop Skynet from ending the human race. Although many movie critics gave this movie a bad review, I will have to say that this movie was better than what I was expecting, but still wasn’t amazing. The movie certainly was no Termiator 2, but the movie was much better than terminator 3. The story did lack heart compared to the first two films, but the action and special effects made up for that a bit.
Overall the movie was not the salvation of the Terminator franchise, but it’s a worthy watch if you want to watch a movie with some wicked action scenes and amazing special effects.
I would wait for the DVD if you’re planning to watch this

As a whole the saw franchise has done fairly well, but like most movies that have sequels the quality and story have slowly degraded in each one. The new Saw 6 is on its way to theaters in October. Now even though the 6th edition of saw isn’t even out in theaters yet Liongate has given the green light for the new Saw 7. I really don’t know what to say other than I hope that they make these two new movies different in someway because Saw V (the last Saw movie that was in theaters) was not so good. Although each movie has done alright, each movie has really gone down a lot in its originality in my mind. I still remember watching the first movie and thinking wow this movie is interesting because nothing like it has ever been done, but the problem was that they kept making sequel after sequel with the same concept and style of the story. I think a good change up or twist in the way they do the next movies would make the fans of Saw very happy.
Can they take Saw VI and Saw VII off the downhill track the Saw franchise has been on?
I guess we’ll find out in October

As a fan of Prince of Persia this one interests me. Prince of Persia originates from a video game that has had many different titles that have been featured on the Playstation 2/3, Xbox and Xbox 360, and in earlier versions on the Gamecube. The movie will be based on the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time game and will hit theaters nationwide on May 28th, 2010. As we all know video game movies are being made in a mass amount now and many of them have failed to be a good movie. I guess we’ll find out if the director Mike Newel (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) can pull off a good video game adaptation to the big screen. The movie is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean, CSI), so hopefully the two can pull off something that will finally succeed.
The movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton, Ben Kingsley, Alfred Molina, and Toby Kebbell.
I look forward to seeing more information about this, and seeing it in theaters.

Well according to everything that I have read in the past few days a Warcraft movie is going to be made. Sam Raimi has agreed and signed on to direct the movie, as well as Legendary Pictures and Blizzard Entertainment are trying to get it off the ground and get a start on it. The movie could have some potential with the mystical story of the Alliance vs. Horde and the tension between the two, but it could also be like a lot of video game movies that have come out and not done so well.
I guess we’ll find out in the near future.
